Going crab fishing.. bait question?

I am going to San Francisco for some dungeness crab fishing tomorrow. I bought chicken drums (skin on), herring, Pacific mackerel, chicken liver, and squid. I was planning on trying them separately, but would chopping and mixing them be a better idea?

The drumsticks should be fine all on their own. My uncle goes crabbing a lot off our local pier out here and that's about all he uses for bait.

He'll use the mackerel and squid for bait while he's fishing off the pier.
