1995 Pontiac Grand Am - Overheats and coolant leaking out?

1995 Pontiac Grand Am - I have to fill the coolant level about everyday day or two - The car will overheat when i am driving and when i stop - the coolant will come out of the overflow tube at the bottom back of the engine compartment.

thinking this is a themorstat issue

If the thermostat isn't opening, then I would expect the car to overheat in minutes (unless it's very cold outside). Check to see if your fans are running; one should be running continuously and the other when the engine heats-up.

Better hope it's a thermostat issue! Have the cooling system chemically tested for exhaust gases in the cooling system.
