like mini88 said. On Playstation's website, it has been made official that ps3 games can't be natively (disc or download) on PS4 due to the x86 architecture. This doesn't mean that you can't play the PS3 games on the PS4. This was the same controversy with the PS3 - it couldn't read ps2 discs nor could play the downloaded ps2 games - unless those games were emulated. An emulator is basically a small game engine that will make it compatible to play those games that the console can't. Playstation4 will make some PS3 games emulated but I don't know which or how many games there will be.
