Is the new about Syrian atrocities recently mentioned on NPR being suppressed for political reasons.?

Apparently a member of Syrian security has defected. He has photographs of horrific starvation and torture of prisoners under the present government in Syria. I hear more about some young drunk pop star in the news...why is this?

Because only you apparently care about what goes on in Syria. And about the young drunk "egg throwing" brainless pop star you're referring to......he's a creation of star craved teenagers who definitely are more interested in what's going on with him than in some place called Syria.
