I have an Idea I came up with for an electronic devise. How do I contact a good company?

I came up with an idea for a never seen before electronic product about 2 months ago. I started a patent filing for it. I contacted some of those invention websites and met with 1 locally. The guy was so impresed with my idea he was more excited then me. Anyway further research showed many of these places to be some sort of scam or just take your money and you never really get anything out of it.
My idea belongs with either Samsung or Apple. But they have this unsolicted idea policy that is downright ridiculous. Most compnies state "they do not accept unsolicted ideas". WTF? I mean what if i had a car engine that ran on air. are u really going to pass on it because of you silly policy?

This idea is worth billions. No Bull crap here. How the heck can I contact a Samsung Rep to discuss this without losing my rights to it? The owner of Samsung recently put up a 100 million fund for his employees to come up with something. This is it. I wish I could go straight to this guy. Anyone have any ideas how I can get this going in the right direction? Thanks

Having actually WRITTEN such policies for many companies, I can tell you that they are essential as legal protection from people who might wander in with some great "idea", not realizing that a company has been working on the "same thing" for years and is about to release it in a new product. You would imagine they have "stolen" your idea and immediately sue them, provided you could prove anyone ever even opened your letter, let alone read it or passed it along to any engineers.

What you do is try getting some actual legal advice (it is completely illegal for invention submission companies to do that for you, since they are not generally law firms), and then file the necessary patent applications, get investors, distribute millions of your products and wait for the day when your heroes swoop in and acquire your company for a billion dollars.

Good luck. Be careful who you tell about your invention before you actually have patents pending, and even after that, since you cannot prevent anyone from stealing your idea and beating you to the market -- at least not until your patent is actually issued.

Policy is policy. Being in the "what if" mode helps no one. Of course, the invention guy was jazzed, his company's involvement could mean big money. Get a job at a company that will use your idea without paying you more than a bonus for a great idea.

Do not sell idea to a company, get funding to help you make/ or make more. Selling to a company your chances of making the money you want is 1%. If it is truely a great idea then make a prototype and go shopping for funding, but do so after patent is in place
