Student teaching while working full time?
I don't start student teaching for another two years. I am worried when I do though I won't be able to due to my full time job at a preschool. I am the teacher of three year olds. Any advice?

At that point it will be time to give up the pre-school job. You will not have the time or energy to do both.

Student teaching is a full time job. The only job you will be able to have is a night or weekend job. This is what I had to do during my 18 weeks of student teaching. If you are going into early childhood education, it may be possible to complete your student teaching at your current job. In my state this only works if you were previously certified and went back to get an added endorsement while you were teaching.

At first look, your situation looks difficult. But let me ask this way - what are you going to do student teaching in? If it's early education, then maybe ask your department dean/professor if you can get experience where you are working at now. If it's a different part of education (e.g. elementary/high school, etc.) then it's a lot more difficult to do so.
But, student teaching is generally one semester, so you might be able to ask your job for a semester off and come back when you've finished student teaching. Or offer to work odd hours (e.g. late afternoon/weekend shifts).
Good luck to ya.
