Point and Shoot Camera Sugesstion?

I'm looking for a camera for bird photography. But SLRs are out of my range. So seek to buy a point-and-shoot camera with higher optical zoom (30x or more). My budget is approx.15000.

Please suggest.

I've primarily chosen Sony Cybershot h300 (35x zoom, 16 MP). Please share your views.

Is that $15000 American?? If so you are definitely able to afford a good consumer level DSLR plus a good tripod and an extra lens. And you'd have a good chunk of cash left over.
