Are there any craft shows in the Chicago Area...?

...where I would likely turn a profit selling homemade needlecrafts like baby quilts, table runners, potholders, coaster sets, and stuffed animals? I know about websites like eBay and Etsy, but can anyone recommend any particular Chicago Area craft fairs where I might be able to make good money selling my crafts?

Serious answers only, please -- no no's, no idk's, no spam. I will personally award ten points to whoever gives me the most helpful answer. I am looking for the names of specific craft fairs, not just vague information about seasonal fairs in general.

There's a huge and famous one called Fair Diddly (in the spring) and Fall Diddley (fall). They're in Belvidere, which is right off I-90 and they're HUGE. Here's a PDF with application info: http://www.mhrl.org/documents/2014%20Fair%20and%20Fall%20Diddley%20Contract.pdf

Also, here's a page I used to use a lot for different reasons. It lists fairs, festivals and craft shows in Illinois. Very useful: http://festivalnet.com/state/illinois/il.html

Best of luck.

try festivalnet.com you can pick the radius from 10 miles to several hundred. I've had a login for 6 years now. I have never paid for exclusive info. I do a search for my area of choice, then google search for info regarding the show that interests me.

If you use facebook look for a group that is in your area. For example I'm in a group called "Southern Nevada Events and Vendor Listings". This group will post several listings per week regarding craft shows in my area.
