What's a good container/pocket for paperwork next to my armchair?
I don't have a desk, just a table next to a comfy armchair. My husband says he doesn't like seeing bills and magazines on that table. It's not a lot of stuff -- maybe 5 items at one time, plus stamps and envelopes. What's a nice-looking way to keep it together and convenient? It could be something attached to the chair, on the table, or on the floor.

Consider a wooden or covered hardboard box to hold your bills, envelopes, stamps and other office tools and supplies you require beside the chair. The magazines can be stacked below the lidded box. If you also want to hide the magazines, buy another box in matching colors or pattern and large enough to hold the magazine stack, or a single box large enough to hold the magazines and office papers. Then place the two boxes together on the small table. Look for new or second-hand wooden jewelry boxes designed for men, or wooden cigar boxes. Low profile covered wicker baskets (round, square, or rectangular) would also work in the area to contain clutter.
You could get chair arm protector with pockets. They're also sold under the names armrest organizer or remote caddy. Here's an example. http://www.amazon.com/Leather-chair-sofa-caddy-organizer/dp/B0070YE906/ref=pd_sim_sbs_hg_6?ie=UTF8&refRID=06PTVG6JHFEX06RGNST2
