Hi, As mothers day is Sunday, i was wondering if I should take my mum out for mothers day or eat in and either order of cook?
I love cooking and I am good at it, I do not have much money but I want to do something nice, DO you think it would be better to take her to a resturant, order a take away or cook something at home?

Take her out to a nice resturant for Mother's Day. Buy her a nice dinner and a couple of drinks. She can eat at home any time, but taking her out makes it a special event. Besides, even if you cooked the meal at home, she would probably end up having to wash the dishes and clean up the mess in the kitchen afterward.

Tell your mom that Mother's Day is going to be something special this year, and you are requesting her company to go to such and such restaurant at 1 pm. She may protest, and say "we can eat at home" but that would mean not being shown off, having to stay in and prepare the meal , and then having to clean up the mess. If you haven't made a reservation, it would be smart to do so soon.
If she is a homebody, she may want to stay at home, but if her opportunities to go out with you are limited, I think that actually leaving all the mess somewhere else, and being seen by others as worthy of your time and attention would be a special joy.
