Husbands car was damaged by co-worker?
My husband works for a tire company and was working late last night which meant that someone would have to pull his car into the shop until he got back so it would not have a chance of getting broke into while no one was there. He got there last night and one of the new guys pulled it up on the alignment rack. When got closer he could see there was damage. His car is lowered and wouldn't normally go on there, and was told last night that a lot of cars don't fit on there because of the angle of the ramp. Well it not only didn't go on there. There were black marks from where the guy drove the heck out of it bc it wouldn't go on there. Well by thetime it was on there He had ripped the header frok the head and tore the heck out of the bottom of the car. They coildnt even get it off the rack as it was stuck. My question is, is the conpany liable to oay for the damages? Or are we outta luck. There is 4700 worth of work on the head not to mention everything else that's been done. And now we are also out a vehicle. With our schedules we have to have two cars. Luckily they let him drive his company truck home. But we're trying to figure out if they would be liable or not. We are waiting for later this morning to see if they offer to pay our not But in case they don't we want to see what options we may have. And we only have liability in it.
