Help identifying a health concern on a Frontosa Cichlid. See Attached.?

This started off as a tiny cut. Every day after that it got bigger and bigger, 4days have gone by and yesterday it got this big! I put my fish in an isolation tank with quICK cure even though I know its not pick.

I'm guessing it cut itself on a rock or something and got infected.....? Your guess is as good as mine. Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

It's white, so probably either a flavobacterium colummnare infection or true fungus (Saprolegnia). If its cottony and patch like, likely columaris. You can swab it with hydrogen peroxide, potassium permanganate, or coppersafe if you can catch the fish. Then treat with with Furan-2, Kamamycin or Oxytetracycline Remove carbon and lower tank temperature to 75. Columnaris is easiest to kill at lower temperature.

If its a really hairy or spikey growth, it may be saprolegnia fungus, which you can kill with Acriflavine. Methylene Blue, or Sea Salt Dips, or in more severe cases with Furan-2 or Triple Sulfa. The API website below the best diagnostic tool to diagnose and treat these ailments.
