I am going to study in the University of Nottingham in Malaysia starting May. It has been 2 months since I have sent my documents to the University to apply for a student pass for me. Why is it taking so long?

Contact the university for information. Have you followed the correct procedure for obtaining a student pass ? You may have to apply through the Malaysian Embassy in your country with the letter of acceptnce....... or go to Malaysia with a special pass then convert that to a student pass once you have proof that you have joined the university.
If everything is in order, it should not take the Immigration Dept more than a week to process the pass.
