Upgrading to a bigger breaker box?

Question

I have put in place a new 200 amp breaker box, wire ,weatherhead, two ground rods, in Pennsylvania. All I have to do now is get an inspector to check it out then the power company will come out, and rewire the new box to the pole. Later I can install the new breakers, and rehook the existing wires. What will the inspector check for. What amp breakers should I use for the range, apartment size, and 40 gallon water heater? No guessers please, I can do that on my own. Thanks!

Whatever already exists for them. And/or based on the calculations.  P=ei where p is power in watts. E is voltage and I is current. You would have to check the rules and existing cable to match it but it should be the same as ur previous breaker. Although for an apartment I think a 200amp service is overkill. Most are only 100. For a house 200amp is becoming the norm.

The inspector will check that the box has been safely installed per code and that it is properly grounded, on an outside wall, and not near gas or water mains.

The breakers you will need to use are specified by the loads they will carry. The WH, Range, dryer, garbage disposal will have dedicated breakers. It would be to your benefit to get a copy of your local code and the NEC to do the wiring properly.
