Lying and tell B.S. stories like all associated with nascar. LOL
OH, wait a minute, what would nascar do if they did not have a dead guy to use for their promotion ? Hasn't nascar been shameless using his death enough ? Let the guy rest in peace already.

I'd say by now he would either be at the end of his career or already retired. He would probably be a Full Time Owner and spending a lot of time helping his son. He'd possibly have gotten one more championship.
If that's the future... let the future roll
Given his age, no longer a driver. Probably an owner only, unless he was an announcer. Was he really the announcer type though? They'd still have DEI and it would consist of the 2008 developmental drivers and Jr, perhaps some others scattered throughout the levels.

Seeing as he'd be 63 years old, it's hard to imagine he'd still be racing. Full time team owner sounds reasonable. DEI would still be what it was back then, and hopefully he would have divorced the evil wench Theressa Earnhardt!
