Does the West Coast pretty much run the new school right now?

Buy or Sell?

@DopeBoy

100% agreed. NY needs to step up.

@The Beat
New talent is everywhere for sure, and Freddie Gibbs (to me) is definitely the best of this generation. But there's definitely a larger number surrounding the West Coast. They're dropping artists the way NY was in the early-mid 90's,

idk for me absolutely i love problem yg iamsu ect they make really good music right now that i can play at a party but they say ny rappers sound like there south right now not from out there they say french montana sounds like hes from atl not la i think atl is still king right now. im really hoping that midwest got next pittsburgh is right on the border of east coast and midwest. we need our shine and chicagos gettin it right now well see if more younger talent comes out of ohio detroit kansas city ect midwest never got to be the most popular spot for hip hop fck ny they had decades. and 4real ny aint really fux with pa and boston and bmore and dc and stuff it should be east coast buit its not were all separate like west coast and the south rep west coast and the south ny reps ny

Well they control the mainstream audience (which isn't hard to do) but the south has the best rappers out of the underground.

Buy , West definitely owns the mainstream hip hop audience right now followed by South and NY really needs to get laced up.

Actually the plethora of new talent out there seem to come from really all places within the continental U.S.. NY and Chicago have a ton of astounding local MCs that'll probably blow up rather soon.

And the two best MCs on earth right now, Danny Brown and Freddie Gibbs, are both from the midwest, originally.
