What's the best way to do this? Buy a turntable with a CD burner already embedded? Or just buy a turntable to hook up to your computer (USB) and then burn to a CD?
Also, when you do record it to a CD, do you get the regular band breaks that exist on a vinyl to record on the CD so you can number the songs or pieces? Would the random play selection work on these converted vinyl to CD recordings?

The best way would be to buy a USB turntable and send the audio to your computer. That way you will have the control over the final CD.
I do this a bit differently: I have a vintage Turntable that i plug into the audio input of my computer via a Phono preamp. I capture the audio in Audacity (a free audio editor). You can use Audacity to clean up the audio (remove pops and clicks, static, etc) and also break the recording into tracks. The final CD is just like any other. But I tend to export to MP3s.
