Anybody can carry a common pocket knife in Florida as it is not considered a deadly weapon.

NOTE:
It must be less that 4 inches.. not 5 inches
also it cannot be serrated, have a notch-grip, be spring loaded or have a locking mechanism.. these are not considered "common pocket knives"..
for example, a 4 inch serrated switchblade is NOT a common pocket knife..
basically, in order to be able to legally carry a concealed knife, the knife must have been designed for utility, not harm...
