motorcycle sidecar outfit question please.?

Having 'stuck' a sidecar on the bike, (too much surgery!), and just wondered if it's necessary to have a number plate on it, as well as the 'stock one' which is attached to the rear of the bike?

Cannot find any info on the ''gov'' sites.

It only needs one on the rear as it is still classed as a motorcycle.

Not sure about the UK but no number plates are required here in the States.
