Why put real thought into an answer when you get NO feedback on it?

Many, many 'askers' don't bother choosing a best. (And many times the choice they make doesn't even seem to have anything to do with an answer to the question asked.) Then nobody can vote and in there say "that's a good and/or helpful answer"- Why even bother?

I don't understand it. Especially with people who say "I'll choose best answer" and they don't.

I know how you feel, and alot of people are just selfish and don't appreciate the answers they receive.

I hate the reporting/ appeals thing more especially since I've never heard back after an appeal and the things that actually violate the rules don't get removed.

Because as Yahoo says it's not about points but about spreading knowledge. So keep spreading the knowledge.

Many have quit. If you don't like it then you don't have to participate either

OPs now are too lazy to acknowledge your or our answers unfortunately. Sas to say.

I think that is why many have left YA and not returning.
