I'm planning on removing the catalytic convertor from my car and replacing it with a straight pipe. Will I regret it. I live in Florida so no state emissions testing for me :)

Why so you can pickup 1 extra hp or two? For what reason - so you can street race? If so grow up!
Tampering with smog equipment is breaking federal laws - leave it on - not hurting anything and saving a butt-load of hydorcarbons from being dumped into the atmosphere - unless of course you enjoy the effects of smog.
