My kik Is acting wierd?

So I kiked someone. I sent two little short messages. And they both had a dark D then the person read the message but it said that only the second message was read. And the first was still a dark D. Did it not send or something? I know what the letters mean but this hasn't happened before. Any ideas on what happened?

probably a connection problem . does this happen often ? you should ask your friend if they recieved both messages .
