I wanted to get into an air force, How can you protect yourself from rape?
I heard a lot of rape cases in the military, air force, marines and navy. I wonder where do the girls sleep if we assigned to barracks because I don't want to sleep in the same room with guys. I wish they have an all girls air force.

The best advice I can give you is to let the way you act, behave, and carry yourself establish what kind of person you are and avoid those that seem to operate on a lower level especially during their off-duty time. Don't mix playtime with work time or with those that you work with and at the first sign of a serious problem bring it to the attention to both the commander and the first sergeant along with the person identified for handling complaints of this nature at your base or post. Even then you still might fall victim to some jerk just like you might in civilian life just out of the blue and without any warning. Awareness and avoidance is really your first and best line of defense along with the above really and that sometimes even is not enough still. One only has to look at the large number of assaults on college campuses to confirm this really and so I would not let this stop me from enlisting if I were you. However you can minimize or reduce the odds of it happening to you in a lot of ways beforehand if you are smart and willing to.
Despite all the media hype (a lot of it fanned on by publicity-seeking politicians), the incidence of rape in the Air Force is very low. I served for 21 years and never even HEARD of a case at any base I was at. You will NOT "be sleeping in the same room with guys." Quarters are gender-separated.
An all girls Air Force huh? That's not a waste of money. I don't know what the statics are for rape or assault in the US military but it wouldn't warrant an all female military service.
Yes rape and sexual assault happen in the military but NO MORE than in the civilian world, even less than if you go to college. So you stop freaking out about it, you make sure you have a life and not stay in your room all day, and if you do go out you have at least one buddy with you.
NO you don't have guy roommates if you are a female. You will have a female roommate. In barracks/dorms there are floors that are females only. On a ship they are areas that are females only.
