It's about the girls' character.usually the girls who are more tough and kinda tomboys get attracted to shy guys.because they dislike being passive and chosen by someone so they like the challenge of getting their man.these kind of girls, usuallydon't like agressive men and don't find them attractive.they actually find shy,nice,and calm guys EXTREMLY sexy.

My guess is that some girls just need reassurance that they can attract someone. Its an ego trip. (lack of self value)
