USPS: I went to my interview Wednesday and took my background check and drug test Thursday, how long do I have to wait to be hired?

Be patient. It takes time for the background check. In the meantime, send them a nice letter thanking them for allowing you the opportunity to be interviewed...and hope they will take your application into serious consideration because you feel you would be an asset to the company...blah ...blah.
It is always nice to follow up with a letter. Just short and sweet

Just be patient, usually a prospective employer do not send you to a drug test if they are not seriously considering you for the job
