I want my hair to be a little lighter?

I went to the salon yesterday and got my hair dyed. I wanted a dark brown hair color and when my stylist showed me one, I said I think it's too light, she said it would be a little darker on my hair, so I went with it. Instead of being a darkish brown like I wanted it, it's like an esspresso color. Is there anyway I can make my hair a little lighter? Thanks!

Yeah the color should fade a little bit, but I'd try mixing a little bit of dawn into your shampoo, it should help gently strip the hair of the dark brown and slowly lighten it!

Honestly the color will probably fade a bit in a few washes, so don't sweat it :) If you still don't like it, go back to the salon and explain what happen, and depending on their policies they should set you right!
