As a public health student, I am here to ease your mind. Ebola is a hemorrhagic fever (officially called Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever, actually) that causes internal bleeding and cyst formation. Many of the around-1000 cases in Nigeria and Sierra Leone that you have heard of are from consuming undercooked or uncooked "Bush Meat" which is literally the meat from monkeys. Ebola is spread similarly to the HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, and even if the Ebola virus was as prevalent in the US as HIV is, you would stand an equal chance at getting HIV because it is spread exactly the same way. The virus is a non-airborne pathogen, meaning it cannot be spread by coughing, sneezing, etc. It can ONLY and I stress ONLY be contracted by direct blood-to-blood contact or direct sexual contact, exactly like the HIV virus. Is the HIV virus a pandemic that is going to eliminate the world? Absolutely not. The ebola virus outbreak in Africa is not NEARLY as bad as their HIV problem, and it shows because about 1/3 of them have HIV. Ebola is only notorious for its high mortality rate (it kills about 90% of the people who contract the virus). It will never spread within the united states, it is not absurdly unsafe or anything of the like, and you will never contract it in your lifetime. Period, end of story.

Ebola is a very dangerous plague........... Also the last Ebola break-out killed tens of thousands of people world wide, It even killed people here in America....................... Now how it is spread is still open for debate, Simply because there is not a lot information known about Ebola virus and how far it has spread around this world.....................

No, the ebola virus is real. Once you've learned the difference between reality and children's fantasies, you won't have to ask questions like this.

No - Ebola is a contagious disease, not fiction.
