Can I add more memory to my laptop just by putting in an SD card?

I have an asus 2 in 1 laptop and I just got the new sims game and it says I need 3GB more memory, could I just get an SD card and have it work that way? I already tried uninstalling all the unimportant stuff on my laptop, but that got me about .02 GB more space, so please help. Thank you.

Well I emptied my recycle bin and I got another .1 GB, and I don't have any music or videos on my laptop anymore, I uninstalled itunes, so I assume it's gone from my computer and I've never had any videos, I don't have very many pictures, so I don't think that's taking up much space. Idk, I might just have to play it on my mom's laptop

No, you can't add memory using SD card. The SD card slot is meant to store photos & videos, but speed is very limited

You can try removing unwanted programs & temporary files using CCleaner ( http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/ )

For storing stuff, get external hard drive. WD My Passport 1TB hard drive costs less than $70 - http://www.amazon.com/Passport-Ultra-Portable-External-Backup/dp/B00E83X9P8/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&tag=basebal-20&ie=UTF8&qid=1409713604&sr=1-1

After you deleted all your items did you empty your Recycling Bin?

Also you should try running Ccleaner. It could give you enough room by getting rid of temp files etc.
