question on finding the best credit card?

hi so I'v been reading up on credit cards and I have a quick question.

Teknecly discovery offers the best general rewards card, however I already have an account at CitiBank.

If I already have an account and I get a credit card does that generally save me money somehow. Citibank is my main bank.

You'll need to check with Citibank to see if they offer any incentives. My MC is tied to my personal bank, but I don't really get anything super special by having both accounts in the same place. The cards I use most are independent AmEx cards.
