Whatever happened to the great trainers and experienced fighters like the old days?

As in everything the new is not necessarily better. Those special trainers, Charlie Goldman, (Rocky Marciano) Jack Blackburn (Joe Louis) Whitey Bimstien, Chickie Farrara, Gil Clancy, Eddie Futch and Angelo Dundee, just to name a few, knew their trade and how to protect their fighter. They had control of that corner, no yelling, screaming, profanities needed to get their point across. True greats. Today you've got a bunch of raving , swearing towel holders who think they know what they're doing.

They are spread out all over the world now days ,back in those days there was only a handful of top trainers, and they all resided in USA ,so if you wanted to be any good you had to go to USA to train ,but so many people have gon to the US and taken away all those ideas and taken it to all the corners of the globe the knowledge got spread out as it does with everything

Less active fighters equal less experienced fighters and trainers.

It's that simple.

The way they trained and their ideas of training were much different as much as any sport will change over time.
