If jesus is the way, and Christians are christ-like, aren't Christians just in the way?

That's funny.
Thing is, true Christians follow their exampler , Jesus Christ as 2 Peter 2:21 encourages.
Jesus is the only way to God provided by God.
We follow the pattern of the way he lived, taught and served God.
When true Christians do this, they have God's blessing
and thus present no stumbling blocks to others.
They direct others to the way of the Christ, which his way, he got from God says, John 8:28.

If Jesus is the Way, and a Christian is to be 'in Christ', aren't Christians just in the way?

well yes, they are in the "way". for those that have not started the path, they will always come to them, and be taught and some will believe and others will not. i think a muslim and a jew are in the way against the truth, only in that they dont beleive the messiah is Jesus.
all christianity is a stubling block to the Jews. because of this. But in reality, the gentiles are the people that the prophets prophesied about, and among the gentiles, there is another people the Lord describes as being the covenant people ! not jews or "christians" but Saints. "in the latter days. Read the story of Hosea, and realize the prophecy only happens in the "latter days" ! go figure

Christians are the ambassadors of Christ on earth to point the way to Him. Without Christians to preserve and proclaim the truth the church would not exist and the world would not be able to know of God.
