I just asked a question and got an answer. Then I got an email that my question was reported. What the hell is going on?

I found this in your list: /question/index?qid=20140925081118AAfp9s1
is this an exact duplicate of the one that was reported? - if this is exactly how you worded it, there is nothing wrong with that and someone was mistaken in reporting it

but if you worded it slightly differently, such as a statement, instead of a question, that may have been why
example: "Yahoo questions and answers only giving me questions from 4 days ago?" - that would be a violation for non-question as it's a statement with a question marked tagged on the end

but, as I said, if what you asked was the same as the one that's still up, appeal it as it was wrongly reported
====================

EDIT: it just occurred to me that since you posted THIS, your Q was appealed and reinstated and this is the Q put back - if so, great! - come back and let us know with an update

Simply because someone here bothered to answer doesn't mean that the question was a valid one, or that others might not report it. Many users answer questions that are really violations, either because they don't know or care. If you want to know more about WHY your question might have been reported, you would need to give us the full text of it, including any added details.

That is the full text of the question. All I asked was why when I go to yahoo questions and answers does it only show questions from four days ago. I can not see nothing wrong with that question.

Without knowing what question you asked I cannot help you. Maybe it wasn't you, maybe the reader had some deep, dark, repressed issues that were unlocked and unleashed by your seemingly innocent question. Or maybe you included the words candy, van and puppies. Who knows.
