Why don't I test positive for marijuana?

I do test positive but I takes a while. I have 5 Walgreens drug tests. One day I smoked 2 blunts, and the next day I was still negative. I smoked 4 more blunts the next day and still negative. Then I smoked for about five more days straight and I WAS STILL NEGATIVE. Couple days later I ended up testing positive. Why would you say it took me over a week just to test positive? I'm 18, 6'2, 170 pounds if that helps.
