When the President ends their speeches with "God Bless America," Do they really mean it? And whose God are they referring to?

During World War 2 President Roosevelt included God in
most if not all of his speeches. He was referring to the God
of Christianity and everyone knew it. Even the songs and
movies of those days mentioned God and praying also.
One popular song was, "Say A Prayer For The Boys Over There." and "Coming In On A Wing And A Prayer" was
another, of several songs with reliance on God.

Now-a-days there doesn't seem to be any sincerity in it.

You need to say that to get elected in America, but you don't have to actually believe it. As Ronald Reagan proved, a good actor gets the job.

Many sentences and sometimes pages of material said by politicians are devoid of meaning.

You may presume that this is, without missing the gist of what the man had to say.

It's the expected ritual.

Obviously, any president I disagree with politically is referring to Lord Cthulhu.
