My 65 year old mother is about to have kidney stone surgery any advice you can give her?

what can she do to best help prevent them in the future? Any juices vitamns etc, tou would advise.
Also what can she expect recovery wise when she gets home? thank you

aren't there options other than surgery? recovery is diff for diff people. generally not long if she is in ok shape. it was out patient for my husband.
