It is very unlikely that sea level rise will continue to be linear. But as Earth warms, sea level rise is more likely to speed up than it is to slow down.
I am not sure either, although there are plenty of articles around that try to explain the slowing rise ( like they try to explain the pause) http://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=AwrSbDutN1xUSjgAyJ1XNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTEzaTlxbmlpBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDOARjb2xvA2dxMQR2dGlkA1ZJUDUzMF8x/RV=2/RE=1415358510/RO=10/RU=http%3a%2f%2fwww.rtcc.org%2f2014%2f03%2f24%2fslower-sea-level-rise-linked-to-el-nino-and-natural-weather-patterns%2f/RK=0/RS=6TJF7aoRci7aolRmX3gtCichuuc- http://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=AwrSbDutN1xUSjgAzJ1XNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTE0dGhpYWVwBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMTAEY29sbwNncTEEdnRpZANWSVA1MzBfMQ--/RV=2/RE=1415358510/RO=10/RU=http%3a%2f%2fwww.worldclimatereport.com%2findex.php%2f2009%2f07%2f22%2fsea-level-rise-an-update-shows-a-slowdown%2f/RK=0/RS=GlPNuExJh3y2rkJVhs3LGTzywU8- There is even a paper in Nature http://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0SO8z5aOlxUIh0ARmBXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTE0dGhpYWVwBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMTAEY29sbwNncTEEdnRpZANWSVA1MzBfMQ--/RV=2/RE=1415359195/RO=10/RU=http%3a%2f%2fwww.nature.com%2fnclimate%2fjournal%2fv4%2fn5%2ffull%2fnclimate2159.html/RK=0/RS=Efs41iNjn0WNNkzT6EL7Hf4exVI- Well slowing or not it is not accelerating.
