on a recent trip I found some honey dippers and knowing my son doesn't have one got him one along with the one I wanted. Honey is a nasty thing when dipped with a spoon! For one of my daughters I found a morter and pestle. these are used for crushing together herbs, salt, etc. She doesn't have one!

What I am saying is look for little things they may not have or won't buy for themselves. Gadgets are a "foodie"s favorite thing. Does your friend have a set of spring form pans? Does he/she have a measuring glass with all the different measurements on it? Could they use a set of mixing bowls or pitchers? I love browsing Kitchen Shoppes! I find more goodies there than anywhere else.

Hamper with a selection of meats, smoked salmon, cheeses, pickles, relishes, oat cakes, jams, oils, wine, chocolates etc
