My pet mice are dying?

I feel awful. A few weeks ago I saved a little field mouse from my cat. After keeping it as a pet for a week, I decided to put it with my 3 domesticated mice to see if they would get along. They loved eachother! They cuddled and the wild mouse got super tame. Well, about 3 days ago, one of my domesticated nice died. She was only 7 months old. I didn't know why and figured it was just a fluke. But now my little male mouse is dying, and he's only 2 months old. Do you think they caught a diseas or something from my field mouse? Will taking them to a bet do any good??

you shouldn't have handled a wild mouse either. wild mice carry a large variety of bacteria and viruses. many of which humans can contract. your domestics are likely dying of infection introduced by the wild mouse. as to whether your vet can help, she can give you antibiotics and help you keep them fed and hydrated but it's hit or miss as to whether you could save the remaining domestics. this is a tough lesson for you. i'm sorry! put the wild mouse back outside.

You should return the mouse to the wild. It's very cruel to keep it. It belongs outside. It was also stupid to put it in with your other mice. They carry all sorts of diseases, there's just no way of knowing.

Return it to the wild and stop picking up wild mice. They are not pets and they are nasty diseases spreading pets ts. They carry and spread all kinds of dangerous and life threatening diseases and parasties
