What time does ups stop delivering packages?

So I'm expecting a package in the mail the sender told me today it would arrive when I spoke to her yesterday. It's currently in Mather, CA and the last notification was the arrival scan. Earlier today it said the estimated delivery day was today, a hour later it said the estimated delivery wasn't until Monday. Would anyone be able to clear this up for me?

"Expected" is an estimate. Note that it doesn't say "will arrive" it says "expected delivery" - meaning that it could change, which it did. If it is USPS, it will not be delivered until Tuesday as they are closed Monday. UPS should be open though. USPS, UPS, and FedEx deliver packages until they are all delivered. Meaning that if they usually get 200 packages a day on average, and the average working day is 8 hours (8am - 5pm) and on any particular day one route gets 2000 packages, then that person could be delivering until 11pm!! However, more likely they would split the packages up and have other people helping out so that that person could get done closer to 7 or 8pm... So, the best way to answer your question is, it will arrive ON the day it says that it will. So check again monday morning and see if the tracking says "out for delivery", then you will know that it should be delivered sometime... sometime that day.

They normally stop delivering around 7or 8 possibly. Sometimes they can deliver later. I'm not sure how common that is though. UPS can deliver packages very late in the day.
