Physics wave problem?

Research vessels at sea can create images of their surroundings by sending out sound waves and measuring the time until they detect echoes.
Given:
f=600kHz.
speed of sound in water=1480 m/s

What is the wavelength?

How deep was the shipwreck if echoes were detected 0.48s after sound waves were emitted?

Steve is right for the first part of the problem, but for the second you need to account for the fact that the time it takes to hear it is the distance there and back, therefore you need to divide his answer by 2

λ = u/f = 1480/600E3 = 0.00247 m
d = 0.24*1480 = 355.2 m
