How long does it take to learn how to skateboard?

HI! I actually bought a penny board last year and I love it! A skateboard is a bit more difficult to learn though. It took me about one week to two weeks to learn how to ride my penny board, i was really good at it i could go around my neighborhood with my friends and race all the time! If you plan on purchasing a penny board i suggest you look up youtube videos on how to ride them!
