Gaming laptop not able to run this one game?

So I was anticipating this one game for a very long time. I thought I could run it 100% no problem...but then I look at the processor.

3Ghz minimum requirement? WTF. WHY...Just why?

I have 2.6 Ghz max processor. Intel core i7 4510U.

Are my chances of playing this game 0%?

I have Nvidia GTX 880M graphics and 16GB RAM

You can definitely play the game. I usually view the minimum requirements as suggestions. You should have no problem running it, especially with those specs. What game have you been anticipating?

The 3GHz requirement may be for a processor with less cores than yours. Depending on the game, it would be your graphics card that would do the majority of the heavy lifting anyway
