Can I get a parking ticket if I don't have any license plates?

Hi, I'ma a 18 year old college student and going to my college requires me to pay a fine of 6$ a day to park. I don't do this and out of the semester and a half I've been here, I got 2 tickets. I was thinking, are these tickets avoidable if I replace my license plates with dealer-issued license plates (as if I just got my car) to avoid getting a ticket? I can also cover my VIN number with a piece of paper or some garbage because my VIN is right behind my stearing wheel, I can access it. Now comes the issue of getting towed, I drive a Mercedes G-class and I'll park very narrow and croocked so the school would have trouble getting a tow truck to tow my car out without it hitting any other cars or having trouble getting out. What do you think about this? Is there any other way I can avoid getting a ticket?

You can't just obtain "dealer plates" to replace yours. Parking wonky to avoid a tow, will not work will only piss them off and make them more determined to impound the car. You do realize there are at least 7 different locations where your VIN in on that vehicle so covering one will not make it incognito. The way to avoid tickets is to park legally. If you can afford a Mercedes, you can afford the park pass.

They'd just tow your car instead or maybe boot it, as a car without plates is an abandoned car

Keep in mind that if the tow truck damages your car, they're not to blame because you can't prove they did it.

Here is an idea. Just buy a parking permit.

No, your college doesn't make you pay a "fine" for parking, it's called a "fee," and most people are willing to pay it.

Dealer plates? They'd be traced. And if they're stolen you'd be in much more trouble.

I think a tow would be in your future.

Yes, they can still ticket you. Yes, you still owe the money. Yes, they will eventually have your car towed. Tow truck drivers are professionals. They will take the car, they will not have a problem.

They can issue a ticket to dealer plates. Not s

I have a GREAT idea of how to avoid a ticket though.....GET A PARKING PERMIT..

The best way to avoid getting a ticket is not to park like an a$$hole.

If they are unable to tow you without risking damage to surrounding vehicles, they will just boot your vehicle.

That would be highly entertaining to watch.
