Question about STDs and condoms?

Ive always wanted to know, if both partners dont have an STD, then there is no chance of you getting an STD right? So you dont need to wear a condom in this instance right?

If both partners are disease free and monogamous then there will be no way to introduce a disease into the relationship - so in that case, a condom would prevent against pregnancy but if there are no diseases to pass along, then there are no diseases to block. However, as the other answer has said, it's almost impossible to know if someone is disease free until they have had a blood screening done to ensure of this. A lot of STD's do not have symptoms or they do not show symptoms for a long period of time so even if someone says they are clean, they may not be aware of their condition.

Unless you have been within eyesight of your partner every second of their life since they were born you do not know if they are disease free. Many people have STDs and do not know about it, also. There are many diseases that do not have symptoms for a long time once a person is infected, sometimes years.
