They definitely have the talent....but they are in a stacked division that includes the reigning World Series champions (SF), a team that won 94 games last year and arguably improved its roster over the winter (LA), and two teams that always play hard and give them fits (ARZ and COL)..
This could be a year when the West beats up on each other so that none of them have a 90-win season...which means only the Division winner will make the playoffs and the Wild Card will likely come out of the East.

Possible, but doubtful. I don't think they have a bad team, but the NL West is gonna be tough this year. I'd personally pick the Padres to finish 4th, but anything is possible. There are a lot of teams that made drastic roster moves this offseason that have a chance for a great year (Padres, White Sox, Cubs, and Marlins to name a few).

Nah they are to new of a team. So many new guys who have never played together this year. They will use this year to get a good chemistry going and learn what work best for them and then they will be a lot better next year.

There's one team every off season that goes on a spending spree and is everyone's favorite pick the following pre-season. It rarely works out. So no I don't think they will.
