An Internal medicine doctor typically deals only with adults and most often with older adults. They do not do anything like surgery.
A Family Care doctor sees infants though adults and in some areas, even delivers babies and may do minor surgical procedures. (depends on the area they work in)
Your PCP (primary care physician) is the title given to your main doctor, for insurance purposes. Normally, you would not list your Dermatologist as your PCP, for example.
