Of course, beef tongue is delicious...I have no idea why other Americans seem to be so squeamish about eating it.

There's nothing specifically "Japanese" about it, ALL nations that raise and eat beef eat the tongue, too! Though in the USA, for some reason, they prefer to grind it up and hide it inside something they call "hot dogs"....
