5'7" @ 245 too short for MMA heavyweigh?

I want to get a few fights in the cage. I am 245 @ 5'7". I'm pretty strong, fast for my size, and my legs are like oak trees. I have very short arms tho. My concern is that if I get into the cage, would I be at a massive disadvantage? I'm concerned that I'm gonna be fighting giants that are just as strong as me. I know my density gives me an advantage on the ground . Should I just hold out and fight at light heavy?

I'd fight light heavy. Being built the way you are gives you an advantage on the ground but not anywhere else. Being smaller means that in order to strike effectively you'll have to get in close and you're at the mercy of your opponent who will most likely have huge reach reach advantage. The other issue is that being so dense means that you'll get tired very quickly when you throw strikes. Swinging around that much weight is tiresome and by the later stages of the fight you'll be gassed. Your best bet is to drop to 205 and fight there.
