Hypothetical Crime: Criminal Justice smarties help?

Ok id NEVER do this but lets say a store had a sum of money or something and someone went at night and it was kinda out of the way, like a minimart in the country in like kansas and a man broke in at night with a mask even though there were cameras and he drove off and no one saw him and he was from like missouri and he was riding a bicycle so no license plate or anything. What could the authorities really do to catch this guy at all????

They would investigate all of the evidence. It's not uncommon for police to determine things like where the bike could have been bought, the method of entry, his approximate size and build, and witness accounts from people driving on the highway.

They could put together a pretty good idea of who the person was and where they were from, and normally in that type of crime where the perpetrator feels like they got away with it, they get caught attempting something similar in a matter of no time.

Probably not.  Unless the crook stole the doughnut machine.  Then the cops, FBI, ATF, DEA, Homeland security, would be all over it
