Is this even realistic? Please help if you are educated in family law & custody issues?

Ok so my daughter has been with me since birth. I live in Minnesota and my baby's father lives in Arizona. She has not seen her dad and he has not made any effort to support her or attempt to see her, I'll just throw that out there. Mind you, she is 8 months old now and he is demanding 3 to 4 month rotation thru our child custody case in court, if he can't have that, he wants over night stays. This does make me laugh, but from a lawyers point of view or someone who is well aware of child custody matters, is this even realistic? I just don't believe he comprehends how ridiculous it sounds to ask an 8 month old baby to go back and forth like that, and I guess I'm asking because I obviously would object 100%. Please help if u know any info on what I'm asking.

I haven't studied Law or have no intention to, but it is perfectly normal. Since I was young, I had my Parents split between two different continents entirely. Every parent (more or less) has a strong love for their child and that will continue until they day that said parent dies. It is perfectly normal - and 8 Months old is a point where it MAY be too young, but do keep in mind that if you were in the Fathers shoes would you wish to see your child? Not everyone has the ABILITY to see their child, since confronting an ex can be intimidating. Hope I helped.

why my ex and i did. i had him every wknd from 6 mo.old. whats the problem, i took care of the boy just as well as she did.she complained. but i had a good job a nice house. and i enjoyed raising him.from this he moved in with me at 13 and stayed till he was 21.if your ex is able to fit the criteria. there is no reason for a judge not too ok it.

you can file for abandonment. he hasn't been there before and spent months without seeing her...why now?
